Dr. Melissa Hamilton grew up and lives in Rhode Island. She received her undergraduate degree from Clark University in 1989. From 1990 to 1994, Dr. Hamilton attended the University of Connecticut obtaining her DMD degree. From there, she pursued four years of specialty training in oral and maxillofacial surgery in St. Louis, Missouri, at St. John's Mercy Medical Center.

Dr. Hamilton has been in private practice in Bristol County since 1998. She is a member of the American Dental Association, Massachusetts Dental Society, and the American Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. Dr. Melissa Hamilton attends numerous lectures and continuous education courses throughout the year to keep abreast of current trends and advancements in her field. Dr. Hamilton specializes in dental implants and the removal of wisdom teeth.
